Dave II – 01/11/23 Polystyrene, Acrylic Paint, Gloss Sealer, this sculpture was inspired by the idea of what person would look like if they were compacted into a cube, each side of the cube roughly represents on portion of the human body, those being, the head, upper torso, lower torso, the arms, the legs, and one side for miscellaneous parts, the cube was made by stacking square sheets of polystyrene that were then glued together, the design for each side was the drawn on using a marker and an overhead projector to make sure the designs for each side were to scale, the designs were then cut out of the cube, it was then painted and sealed with a gloss sealer to give a slight wet look, the final sculpture was then hung so viewers could easily see all sides.
Pixel Digmaus – 24/10/23 Wood Cubes, Acrylic Paint, this sculpture was inspired by the pixel art of older games, it is a pixel art version of the Digmaus character I made and is constructed out of 1cm cubes that represent each pixel that were then glued together in sections that were then painted using acrylic paint and then fully glued together to create the final piece, a MDF was painted a dark brown an glued to the back to hide gaps and attach D-rings that would be used to hang the piece.

Alien Bust – XX/08/23 Clay, this sculpture was inspired by the classic aliens referred to as “The Greys”, I made this sculpture as practice for a class project that I’d later be working on, the notable feature of the eyepatch was done so I wouldn’t have to worry about making sure the eyes were somewhat symmetrical and helped give the sculpture character.

Thing – 12/02/24 Clay, Acrylic String, this sculpture is directly inspired by the Addams Family character of the same name, specifically the one found in Netflix’s Wednesday, though during its creation I accidently flipped the inner structure and Thing became left handed, this sculpture was a challenge as I want it to be able to support itself without any help, which I succeeded in doing however I made a stand to sit under the palm to stop from tipping over if it was bumped.

Leaning Fluff-Self – 23/08/23 Air Dry Clay, white undercoat, held in Wooden Frame, this sculpture is a 3D recreation of my fluff-self digital artwork, the sculpture is attached to the outer wooden frame via wire in the arms and legs, this was done do secure it in place so there wouldn’t be any chance of it falling out for the frame, the sculpture is leaning forward as if on the edge of a cliff standing on its tip toes.

Korok – 06/06/23 Air Dry Clay, Acrylic Paint, Pen on Paper, this sculpture is directly inspired by the Korok characters found in Nintendo’s “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” and “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom”, while it doesn’t reference any specific Korok it takes aspect often found in the characters, such as the branch-like horns on the head, the face leaf, and the stumpy arms and legs, there is also a Korok Seed as part of the sculpture as well as a drawing that represents the environment they can be found in.
